In his comments accompanying the photo Guttenfelder explains that this is a South Korean bunker "just 12 km south of the coast of North Korea's Hwanghae Province." He states that he is at the bunker to continue his "project on the divided Korean Peninsula." Guttenfelder is a National Geographic Photojournalist and his posts are greatly varied in content.
