A Trip to New Orleans

Recently, Jada Yuan published an article in the New York Times detailing her trip to New Orleans as part of her journey to 52 different places around the country. This is part of a New York Times annual special called "52 Places to Go." Yuan establishes her nostalgia with the city, and describes the many things she loves about it. She mentions the "world-class art museums, the slavery-themed Whitney Plantation Museum," and says that "the city's true currency, though, will always be its people." Yuan recognizes that she is indeed a tourist and cannot begin to fully appreciate the city in the same way the natives do, but New Orleans will always hold a special place in her heart
