Charles Scudder, Staff Writer from The Dallas Morning News collaborated with NBC5’s Senior Meteorologist David Finfrock to write about Texas Bluebonnet growth for the season. A lot of people love to take photos in Bluebonnets for many different reasons. This year is expected to be a great year for that. However, Charles Scudder stated, “We'll get a good crop of bluebonnets this spring, experts say, but North Texans might have to drive south to get the perfect photo”. According to Finfrock, there will be Bluebonnets here in North Texas, but they will most likely be sparse. The article states, “the rain from Hurricane Harvey came at just the right time to help foster bluebonnet growth. After the storm, the dry weather helped kill off a lot of other plants that compete with bluebonnet roots, allowing them to grow and spread”. [1 link, 1 picture, 2 quotes, 140 words]
