Everyone has the freedom of speech even if it is slandering the President of the United States, but CNN reporter, Chris Cillizza, made the mistake of taking it to social media which could ultimately cost him his job. After a mother who lost her son to the opioid epidemic wrote into Trump with loving words, Trump replied on Twitter with sympathy. He stated “we are fighting this terrible epidemic hard. Nick will not die in vain.” To which Cillizza sarcastically replied with a testament that Donald himself made on how he “does not watch much TV due to the documents”. This came off as disrespectful and many twitter users picked up on it fast. Since then, Cillizza has not yet offered an apology.
