Lost Boats with Nowhere To Go

In an article by Greg Allen from NPR, Allen describes the battles people are still facing months after two Category Five hurricanes swept through St. John. Though the island is known to receive traffic from tropical storms and hurricanes, no preparation could have helped avoid the damage from both Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria. As St. John is a popular sight for sailing, people move "their boats to protected coves," but the coves could not protect the boats when "faced with back-to-back Category Five hurricanes." The coast guard is still working to recover hundreds of sunken boats still located in Coral Bay.
