An industry in which people across the country intrust their lives, and their loved ones lives each and every day seems to grow less trustworthy. Elizabeth Moreno's struggle with corrupt healthcare facilities are showcased in this article by Fred Schulte from NPR. Moreno was asked to leave a urine sample for a drug test, after taking hydrocodone for pain relief during her recovery. Though she had already weaned herself off the opioid, and had not taken any other medications since, Moreno did not think much of providing the sample, as she trusted her healthcare physician. Little did she know, Sunset Labs would then test her "urine sample for a constellation of legal and illicit drugs," raking up a hefty $17,850 bill.
