Long ago the Library of Alexandria burned down, and all the irreplaceable books, scrolls and letters went down with it. However, more than two millenniums later, a new library was built in memory of that ancient library called The Bibliotheca of Alexandrina. A few months ago Lucas Peterson was able to travel to that exact location and stand in the main reading room. "Light poured into the room through an elaborate skylight system on the sloped, disk-shaped roof, warming books and readers alike" he illustrated. This city is also the place where Caesar and Cleopatra once apparently spent a winter together as a couple. Peterson explains that the city is still filled with romance and it's history.
