New policy to ban transgender people from serving in the military

On Friday the white house announced a new policy that will ban most transgender individuals from serving in the military.  "transgender persons with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria -- individuals who the policies state may require substantial medical treatment, including medications and surgery -- are disqualified from military service except under certain limited circumstances." There are expectations to the ban. This includes individual who have been stable for 36 consecutive months in their given birth sex, those who don't require a gender transition and those who started serving while the Obama's administration was under way. Thankfully as soon as Trump tweeted the announcement of the ban transgender troops took the policy to court which put a halt to the implementation.
