On September 5 a reported named Gauri Lankesh was shot and killed infront of her home in India. She was a "fearless and uncompromising journalist" who only reported the truth. Many think that the killing was to silence her and her opinions, but this only made people talk more and stand up to her. many reporters, writer and anyone else wrote place cards for her saying "I am Gauri". After lots of investigation the police have still not found the murders. Lankesh was respected because of her ability to always write the truth and never stray away from her opinion.
