Obesity and Poverty

It has been going on for years and continues to grow worse. The population of poor and obese rises steadily as the poor shop for junk with food stamps. Law makers are all deciding whether or not the government should have the right to tell people what they can and cannot buy with their food stamps. People from the whole spectrum put their two cents in on the matter including people from food companies like Coca-Cola and Frito lay. “Companies such as Coca-Cola, Kraft and Mars have spent more than $10 million in the past several years lobbying Congress to keep their products available to those using food stamps.  The author of this article argues that it wont matter what the restrictions on the food stamps are, people just need to be educated on nutrition.
