The Death of Richard Wild

In 2003, Richard Wild, "a talented but inexperienced young journalist," (TheGuardian) was found dead outside the Baghdad museum. He was investigating post war Iraq, and when he was finished with his research, he was shot dead. It is said that he was calling for a taxi when his killer stepped out of a crowd of students and pulled out a pistol and shot him in the head. He isn't the first journalist to be killed in Iraq, there has been 17 other incidents where journalists have been killed since the conflict with Iraq started.
