David Brant, an ap sports writer, writes about the difficult
day American’s has at the Pyeongchang Olympics, especially for Mikaela
Shiffrin. Mikaela is 22 years old skier in this years Winder Olympics held
in South Korea. Shiffrin competed in the skiing competition on Friday, February
16th, and much to her amazement was rewarded fourth place, when she
had one gold in the past. “The fourth-place showing was a surprise considering
the American standout won the Olympic slalom title four years ago in Sochi when
she was only 18.” Brant continues to speak about Shiffrin and the fact she was
unsure what had happened during the competition and why she wasn’t awarded a
higher medal, but she states this is sometimes how life goes. [1 image,
