a man and wife were caught up in their suburban home one day which ended up being surrounded by fire and left them no choice of escape except to jump into their pool to save themselves from the oncoming flames.they waited in their pool watching their belongings go up in flames and they stayed in their little bubble of safety until there was nothing left. their strategy for saving themselves included "grabb[ed] T-shirts to hold over their faces to protect themselves from embers when they surfaced for air." their many efforts of trying to keep themselves alive like this and unharmed helped them manage to survive the ordeal and walk away wet, but unarmed.
