Separated At Last: From The Hip and The Hospital
In the article "Formerly Conjoined Twins Get Send-Off at Hospital Where They Were Separated", journalist Gillian Mohney, covers the extraordinary story of conjoined twins Scarlett and Ximena Hernandez-Torres, who were born in 2015 and "separated last April during a 12-hour surgery with dozens of medical personnel present during the operation, according to hospital officials" (Mohney). However, due to their special condition, had to be kept in or near the hospital for rehab until this month. On February 7th, the Hernandez-Torres twins were sent off with a goodbye party at the Driscoll Children's Hospital.
