Stem Cells Help Cure Breast Cancer

Scientists at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute in Ohio have found out that the stem cell pathway "promotes highly aggressive triple-negative breast cancer". Even though they have low survival rates, its a start. They know that hormone treatment helps prevent breast cancer because it makes sure that estrogen and progesterone from combining however, that seems to be a problem. Stem cells do not have the receptors that allow them to connect to them so without them stem cells evade treatment hence, the low survival rates. There needs to be additional research to discover the potential of helping treat breast cancer.
