The Dramatic Flu Season
In the article, "Flu season shows signs of leveling off", by medical journalists Mike Stobbe and Carla Johnson, it is stated that "The new report shows that for the week ending Jan. 27, just under 10 percent of U.S. death certificates listed flu or pneumonia. That's down slightly from the week before, but indicates that flu remains at epidemic levels." There was quite the havoc in doctor offices this winter, especially with the different strain of the flu as well as the low effectiveness level of the flu vaccine this year, but it's a bit more relieving to know that slowly but surely, with proper precautions, the flu cases will not increase.
