Trump believes that mental illness is the root problem of mass shootings.

Due to the recent mass shooting in Parkland, Florida's high school, Donald Trump recently gave a speech where he offered his condolences to all those affected by the mass shooting. He then went on to list what he plans to do in order to truly make a difference in the safety of students in the schools of America and has agreed to make it his top priority. "President Donald Trump has often pointed to mental illness as the underlying cause of mass shootings". In a recent tweet by Trump, he points to the fact the shooter was mentally disturbed, as it was confirmed by family members, and that this was the reason for the shooting. According to Trump, "We have a lot of mental health problems in our country, as do other countries. But this isn't a guns situation". He plans to make an improvement to the laws prohibiting the possession of firearms for mentally ill people. [I image, 2 quotes, 1 link, 156 words].
