A Protest in Pictures

Early last week, students in America held a protest across the nation and demonstrated their beliefs in gun control, and in solidarity with other positions they held. Alan Taylor of The Atlantic reports that as many as “3,000 walkouts were planned.” This protest also came as a moment of solidarity with the victims of last month’s Parkland, Florida shooting. Steve Helber of the Associated Press captures this nation-wide walkout, along with an atmosphere of frustration felt by the many students who attended the walkout. It will be interesting to see how this protest develops in the future. As well as its ramifications on the political climate of the United States and elsewhere.
