Alexei Wood, a 37-year-old freelance photojournalist was among the many placed in handcuffs in a mass arrest. He is being charged with multiple felonies and if he is found guilty, he could spend decades in the "world's most incarcerated prison". Wood participated in a loosely organized rebel group which smashed windows and set a fire to a limousine in protest to Trump's inauguration. While much of the country was protesting, they were doing it peacefully unlike Wood. "The unrest resulted in more than $100,000 of property damage, and several members of the security force sustained minor injuries" The protests have been referred to as the “J20" protests, short for the date of the event. Wood's fate is yet to be determined. [1 image, 1 link, 2 quotations, 121 words]
