“JANUARY 11, 2017 —Clare Hollingworth, the journalist credited with breaking the news of World War II in “the scoop of the century,” died Tuesday in Hong Kong.” Clare was a woman like no other, and she really liked to stand out in the mans world she grew up within. This woman not only broke off her engagement to be a reporter rather than the stereotypical housewife but also was one of the first to claim just how close Germany was in starting the war. By being one of the fist to break the big news headline she continued to push to be the best she could be in her career, changing how women could be seen in the reporting world.
