An investigative journalist by the name of Daphne Galizia was killed in a car bombing in the North-Central part of Malta. Daphne had been researching and reporting about corruption within the government which may have gotten her killed. In an article from The New York Times it even says "Her final blog post, accusing the prime minister’s chief of staff of corruption, had been published about a half-hour earlier." Daphne had such a huge impact that she even caused a crisis in the political life.
