The reporting world can now be anyone’s. Thanks to the citizen journalist movement that has become ever present with social media and the smart phone you never know where the next big story will come from. “In a digital world with a whole host of different ways to communicate a factual message it is increasingly hard to judge the value of amateur eyewitness film shot on a mobile phone and posted on the internet against a considered, observational documentary broadcast on a traditional television channel.” You don’t know what could and could not be true, but yet that doesn’t stop people from continuing to post everything they see hoping to get their few minutes of fame. For all you know, you could be the next big Citizen Journalist.
