Gun Violence and Research

 National Public Radio’s, Nell Greenfieldboyce, discusses the spending bill and the research that

 will soon be conducted regarding gun violence. The new spending bill was signed by President

 Trump, and gives the CDC the “authority to conduct research on the causes of gun violence.” For

 some, this may seem like an important step towards gun control; however, this initiative is

 nothing new for researchers who study gun violence on a daily basis. Researchers across the

 United States aren’t so hopeful, as there’s no moral support or financial funding for issues

 affecting public health. In all, researchers believe that this new bill won’t change the gun related
