As the death of yet another journalist is being mourned, his
colleagues fear they might be next. “You can’t imagine the frustration, the
impotence we are feeling.” said journalist Octavio Bravo on the matter. Mexico
finds itself among Afghanistan and Somalia on the list of deadliest places to
be a reporter. While these journalist are being murdered for many different
reasons such as the drug cartels, or the stories they cove, it has been found
that public servants are their number one enemies. Those in power such as
police and Mayors constantly threaten them.
