Joshua (Josh) Wolf is an American freelance journalist who was arrested by a "Federal district court on August 1, 2006 for refusing to turn over a collection of videotapes he recorded during a July 2005 demonstration in San Francisco, California". Wolf spent 226 days in custody, the longest an American journalist has been held for withholding information. Wolf eventually surrendered and relased his tapes to the public. Following this, the District Judge ordered for his release and was released on April 3rd, 2007. Even though it was a minor crime, who knew journalists could act and be so criminal?
