This fact became apparent to Taha Siddiqui, a reporter in Pakistan, as he escaped death by a gunman. He is one of many journalist who suffered from attacks due to providing the information that his job asked from him. Siddiqui had an idea of who was behind the attack as he is "a prominent critic of the country's powerful military establishment".
