
Les Payne, a Journalist famous for writing about racial injustice, died at age 76 from a heart attack. Les first started being a Journalist for a Newspaper for Long Island. He exposed racial injustice anywhere he could find it. Les was also recruited to work at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism since he was " a Founding member and former president of the National Association of Black Journalists." The strong, brave, and intelligent man not only wrote about these racial injustices but wrote about them in a newspaper given to primarily white people which forced them to deal and solve these things.
