Most Transgender Troops Banned by Trump, Pending Ruling by the Courts






Abc news' Elizabeth McLaughlin and Luis Martinez reported that in a presidential memorandum on Friday, authorized by President Donald Trump, some transgender service members were prohibited from serving in the U.S. military. The President cited that, Transgender individuals “with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria” are unable to serve except under limited circumstances. " However the policy is be held back by court orders blocking previous attempts to ban transgender troops. Trump tweeted in support of the policy. Despite the tough rhetoric, a couple of  transgender individuals are already under contract to serve in the U.S. military a court ruling in January of this year.
