NYU graduate, Martha O'Donovan "from New Jersey working as a journalist in Zimbabwe is facing up to 20 years in prison after authorities say she insulted the African country's president on Twitter." O'Donovan had tweeted "We're being led by a selfish and sick man" referring to 93-year-old Robert Mugabe and now she is facing 2 decades behind bars. She is being accused of trying to take over the government and undermining authority. Everday in America, you log onto twitter and see memes and hate tweets of Donald Trump, but you don't see people getting arrested and certainly not getting 20 years over a tweet. O'Donovan is 25 years old and her attorney says that many people of Zimbabwe "vent on social media" so they can not charge O'Donovan without charging everyone else.
