A reporter in Slovakia was found shot dead with his girlfriend. This reporter was in the middle of investigating a case about a hotel involved in money fraud that was also connected to the government. The president commented on the murder and said that the killings "likely have something to do with his investigation activities". When the police arrived to the screen the reporter was shot in the chest while his girlfriend was shot in the head. They still haven't found the people who are responsible for the killing. The government said that this would be “an unprecedented attack on freedom of the press and democracy in Slovakia”.
