Pedestrian Bride Collapses in Miami
Absolutely horrible day in the Miami community this past
Thursday as reports came flying in around 1:30 pm that a pedestrian bridge had
collapsed. NBC News is
reporting that the death toll has risen to 6. Multiple vehicles were crushed.
Detectives are on the scene now. NBC stated “engineers and homicide
investigators carefully picked through the dangerous scene in search for
possible victims and evidence as to what went wrong.” Agencies such as the FBI,
NTSB and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are all on scene.
People are holding their breaths as more possible victims could be found in the
debris. So far 9 people were transferred to the hospital with injuries.
Detective Alvaro Zabaleta stated “There’s a sad possibility that under the
concrete there may be additional vehicles.” Prayers are continually with
victim’s family and the Miami community.
