Simon Booker a Civil Rights journalist know as "the man from Jet" is remembered in this article for being a pioneer in the Civil Rights movement. He was a man who wrote about news in the black community at a time that just talking about these topics was looked down on. He was there to report on the tragic injustice of the black community and was welcomed by those he was trying to give justice too. "His incisive coverage led the black public to seek out the magazine as a reliable source for news at a time when there was little reporting from an African-American perspective." In 2014 Jet magazine made its last publication. The magazine and Booker paved the way for others to report on the black community and assisted in the worlds view on these injustices.
