There is a
research that studies the connection of the man with dogs. The leader of this study, Natalia Souza
Albuquerque, chose 17 pet dogs from England and submitted them to laboratory
experiments.
In the first
experiment, the dogs were put in front of a screen that had the image of a
human or a dog with a happy or angry facial expression. Additionally, they added a happy or an angry
sound to the image. When the image coincided with the sound of the emotions,
the animals would spend more time looking at the screen which showed that the
dog recognized emotions. “On the other
hand, when dogs heard a neutral sound, the animals lost interest, looking
around the room instead of at the screen – an indicator that the dogs had
correctly discerned a lack of emotion” (https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2018/03/animals-dogs-emotions-pets-evolution/?_ga=2.78927572.1798397129.1521569249-1538409992.1521569249) (1 image, 2 links, 1 quotation, 152
