The Falling and the Rising: A New Opera in Honor of Our Country's Heroes

Alice Barr with NBC news took an adventure into the concrete jungle to Fort Worth in order to interview the people involved with the production of a brand new, modern opera entitled The Falling and the Rising, which tells the story of wounded warriors in the armed forces. The opera was commissioned by the conceived by Staff Sargeant Ben Hilgert to tell the story of those wounded for the sake of our country. It is being produced in collaboration with the opera department of TCU. Barr interviewed Staff Sargeant Hilgert who stated, "We're taking the army's story across America; honoring those who serve."

Performers in The Falling and the Rising

The opera premieres tonight, April 6th at 7:00pm, and is being performed in the Ed Landreth Hall at the TCU campus.
