To keep quiet many young ladies were told to do regarding the inappropriate sessions Lawrence G. Nassar was conducting. Emma Miller who is shown in the photo above told reports “I think I’ve blocked out a lot of what he did to me”. It was not until 11 months after that she shared this information that the FBI began to look into the allegations. Nassar had many allegations against him and when some came forward they were told to keep quiet. Another athlete by the name Maggie Nichols also attempted to alert law enforcement. When Maggie’s mother shared the news with Steve Penny the president of the time of the USA Gymnastics she was told: “not tell anyone”. For some time, young girls and their parents were told to keep quiet over the issues with the misconduct Nassar was doing. It was not until recently that many young ladies are coming forward and talking about what happened to them.
