Don Lemon, an anchor on CNN Tonight, has gone from being a reporter of the news, to being part of it. Lemon's sister L'Tanya "Leisa" Lemon Grimes, 58, died February 4th following an accidental drowning at a neighbors Louisiana pond while fishing.
Upon returning to the air, Lemon thanked everyone for their thoughts, as well as for reaching out to he and his family during this time. Lemon, 51, said of his sister, "I am back sitting with you tonight, because this is exactly where she would have wanted me to be."
This is a reminder that while journalists are being seen everywhere pushing agendas or even pushing the envelope of real news, they are human and have real human lives.
