Prior to the Florida shooting on February 15th, the FBI received two tips on the shooter announcing his dangerous behavior. One dating as far back as last September where a 'Nikolas Cruz' left a comment on a YouTube video saying "I'm going to be a professional school shooter." The other tip, reported on January 5th from someone close to the shooter, had evidence of the shooters erratic behavior, desire to kill people along with disturbing social media posts. Both tips didn't make it past the FBI's tip-line meaning neither complaint were fully investigated. "The FBI receives about 1,300 tips a day through its website." Hopefully the FBI will be more cautious this point on when examining these tips.
