Grand Theft... Spinal Fluid?

BBC News reports one of the more stranger cases of theft in recent memory, as four members of a Pakistan gang were arrested after stealing samples of spinal fluid from women, and then proceeding to sell them on the black market. "Spinal fluid is a transparent liquid found around the brain and the spinal cord", and its purpose to the body is to help prevent severe shock or any other form of injury to the body. The members of this gang reportedly told the people who they targeted for spinal fluid "they had to provide blood samples to qualify for financial assistance from the Punjab government". The reason why they were doing was unknown, but there have been other instances within Pakistan involving other health-related scandals, ever since the country outlawed the sale of human organs back in 2010.
