Hurricane Harvey was a devastating natural disaster that hit our fellow Texans with destruction and despair. But, for Robert what could've turned into another horrible story became a moment he and his family will remember forever. While driving on Frontage Road off Sam Houston Tollway the rain started flooding the road around him, in the panic he dropped his phone. While searching for it he was spotted by KHOU's reporter Brandi Smith and photographer Mario Sandoval. They told him to stay put and waved down and a Harris County Sheriff's truck. The Sheriffs used an inflatable raft to get to him. After the deputies got him to safety Smith asked, "Sir, thank God you’re OK. How does feel to be on land?” "Wonderful Wonderful," Robert responded.
