Just in time for the Blood Moon, highly esteemed travel journalist, Laura Bly was lucky enough to capture this picture at Laos’ Wat Phou temple, older than Angkor Wat. Bly got an extra special experience as well because she got to be in Laos during their Moon Festival. The moon festival takes place every year typically around the end of January or beginning of February, as it is dependent on the moon calendar. Although not a professional photographer, the image above is definitely breathtaking. Although not the main focus in the picture, the Wat Phou is one of the most ancient structures from the South East Asian Region which can be told from its "Khmer Style".
