These poor creatures are the victim of deforestation and
cultivation of oils. These animals have already been placed on the endangered
species list and it seems as these animals have just been “disappearing” from
these forested areas in Borneo, an island in Asia. "When these animals
come into conflict with people on the edge of a plantation, they are always on
the losing end. People will kill them.” It is so sad that we live in a world
where people will kill just to get products off of the land. "Just last week, we had a report of an
orangutan that had 130 pellets in its body, after being shot at in Borneo.”
Hopefully the people in charge can get this under control before we lose this
species all together.
