North Korea and the truth
In this series of photos Melia
Robinson explores a series of photos taken by Xiaolu Chu. These photos are photos that
he took with his cell phone camera of North Korea. Not much is known about what
the real North Korea looks like, the government closely guards what pictures
are let out of the country. The government will stop Xiaolu and go through his
electronics to make sure that he is not taking pictures of un-approved objects.
‘He saw scores of people living in abject poverty. Many
begged for money, he said.” Melia asks
Xiaolu if he feared retaliation from North Korea, meaning that in some cases
they will harm people that take unauthorized pictures. [115 Words , 2 Links , 1 Quotations , 1 picture ] http://www.businessinsider.com/photos-of-life-in-north-korea-2017-8?r=UK&IR=T http://www.xiaoluchu.com/
