Everyone remembers the Tonya Harding story. After sending death threats to her same USA team opponent, Tonya later was accused of hiring a man to hit Nancy Kerrigan in the legs. Now it seems history is repeating. Luckily though, it has not reached a physical level yet to where someone is hurt. In the 2018 winter Olympics, MSN Sports is reporting Great Britain speed skater Elise Christie has crashed out in her race this year. Last year the same thing happened and the skater began to receive death threats. The article stated … “[Elise] received death threats so severe she had to close her Twitter account. She later sought help from a psychologist.” The skater is set to have two more chances to gain a medal in the next two weeks but in interviews she voices the fears of the previous Olympics crash.
