Queen Nefertiti Comes Alive
The new 3-D replica of Queen Nefertiti is making its debut
this week on the Travel Channel’s show Expedition Unknown reports Newsweek.
In an article written by Dana Dovey, Experts from the University of Bristol
used a mummy that was found 1898 and was thought to be the queens as the base
for the starting project of bring her to life. Multiple articles have come out
this week stating a controversy of the Queens Skin tone of all things. MSN, FOX
News and Daily Mail all have current articles out explaining the controversy.
Newsweek stated the project was a “process that took around 500
hours of work”. The 3-D scan is an incredible work of art that shows
what the over 3,000 year old Queen would have looked like. Queen Nefertiti was
Queen of Ancient Egypt for a time period and was known to be highly
influential. She was known for her beauty which was set to come alive in this
3-D scan project. Even with the skin-tone backlash, it does seem to be reeling
in some big praise for this extensive project.
