Potential Life Saving Vaccine for beating Cancer

Scientists may have made progress in solving some forms of cancer by developing a vaccine from stem cells. Experiments were conducted on mice to see if it worked. The mice either saw a reduction or a complete recovery of the cancerous tumors. The focus of their research was centered on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells). These cells were created from adult cells like from the skin of an adult. These cells then can act against the tumor cells thanks to exposure of the cells in the immune system. Potentially personalized vaccines could be created from one’s one iPS cells and treat a variety of different cancers. Dr. Nigel Kooreman who worked on the study also said it could help in cancer treatment as well.  The vaccine would "reactivate the immune system to attack any remnant cancer cells,’ Nigel said.
