Twin brothers arrested in New York City for stockpiling bombmaking materials

On Thursday, February 15th, twin brothers, Christian and Tyler Toro, were arrested and charged with "attempting to make explosives, in part by paying students to extract gunpowder from fireworks". Officials believe that the Toro twins have been gathering materials to make a bomb at least since October. Christian Toro used to be a high school teacher in Harlem but resigned from his position after a student called in a bomb threat on December 4th. "A student was arrested for making that threat, but the incident sparked a broader investigation into Toro. Shortly after the threat was made, Christian Toro resigned his teaching job.
