This article was posted on March 4, 2018. The Egyption government is starting to crack down on false media, and the consequences of it are big. The government has stated that, "false" journalism [is] an act of "high treason" (Ali). Many journalists in Egypt have been arrested by spreading fallacies ill towards the Egyption government. This is a surprising turn for journalism, and goes to show you how lenient the rules of publicity are taken in the United states.
