A man was arrested in Atlanta for threatening CNN journalists. The man guilty was Brandon Griesemer. He made many calls threatening the workers and "in one call, he said, 'Fake news. I'm coming to gun you all down.'" (Johnson.) This raised concerns for journalists safety, especially at a time of national division and many hostile people. Press workers, like Steve Scott, want Trump and congress to help the journalists and have them condemn the violence and abuse to journalists. Like Scott, many other authoritative figures in the press world have called for action from the government. They are concerned for their safety and want to be able to do their job in peace.
