Just A Giant Duck

In Sydney, Australia, Jacqueline Williams, a writer for the New York Times, reported on an Australian swim team who recently lost "a beloved member", a Giant, caravan sized, inflatable duck named Daphne (Williams). Daphne was lost in an open water swim meet, she was used as a turning buoy. Once she was lost she was replaced by a green cone, hardly a worthy predecessor. Peter Marr, the club President, went on Facebook, The Australian Broadcasting Corporation in hopes to spread the word about Daphne. It soon became a national event, people all over Austalia wondering how far Daphne would drift in the Indian Ocean. To everyone's surprise, a fisherman found Daphne on Rottnest Island and is now in the safe hands of the swim club.
