Protest
outside Sacramento Kings arena after Stephon Clark shooting delays NBA game
911 received a phone call from a man saying there was a man wearing
a black hoodie who had "busted both my truck windows
out, and he's in people's backyards right now." The helicopter spotted
someone else in a black hoodie in his grandparents back yards, the police
officers make their way there, and then they started shooting him. "The
officers are going to have to explain all 20 shots. They are going to have to
justify repeatedly shooting," Geoffrey Alpert, a University of South
Carolina criminologist who studies police chases and shootings, said. "The bottom line is we have a
young African American man with a cellphone being shot dead by police."
What really bothered me that the man wasn’t even armed and he only had his cell
phone, after the police shot him 20 times, they were asking him to show his
hands so they can approach.
